The Accounts Payable Technician will provide a range of bookkeeping and accounting related services in support of Aspire's accounts payable system. Duties include, but are not limited to: organizing and promptly paying operating expenses, grant and Aspire Indiana Health (AIH) expenses, coding and accurately entering invoices into accounting software, preparing checks, importing check files to bank, and preparing for mailing, auditing and processing monthly expenses, providing backup for other staff as needed, and any other duties as assigned.
CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred;
- Previous experience in a mental health/behavioral health setting and/or medical office setting preferred;
- Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalism;
- Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Must support diversity; and
