Position Summary

The Primary Care Program Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of special programming occuring in primary care that will include, but not be limited to, prior authorizaitons for medications, Hepatitis C support for medical provider, HARP appointment coordination, VFC and PreP.  Cross training into primary care back office functions will be essential to this position, as well as understanding the office flow, our mission and the importance of customer service for both internal & external contacts.  


  • Graduate of a two (2) year Medical Assistant program from a college/university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education preferred OR
  • High school diploma/equivalent AND related experience considered in lieu of degree


  • Certification as a Medical Assistant highly preferred


  • Previous work experience in a healthcare/pharmacy administration setting preferred
